Val McDiarmid
who works for Lloyds TSB Scotland claimed £500 for the
Scottish Blind Golf Society. One of my sons, Cameron,
is registered blind and he is the youngest member of the Society,
she said. Hes played with them for the last six
years, and for the last four has represented Scotland. He
was also recently awarded an Order of Merit, and apart from
being great experience it has really boosted his confidence
and opened up a whole new sport for him. My younger son and
my husband have also been involved guiding Cameron, so this
society has been a large part of our familys life. This
year I held a race night to raise money for the group, and
the extra £500 I was able to claim through matched giving
helped boost the amount. Over the years Ive claimed
more than £2,200 through matched giving and the money
does make a real difference.
